Statutory Right of Withdrawal (German & EU Consumer Law)

In accordance with the German Civil Code (BGB § 312g) and EU Consumer Rights Directive, consumers have an unconditional 14-calendar-day withdrawal period for distance sales contracts. The withdrawal period begins on the day the customer or a third party appointed by the customer takes physical possession of the goods. Within this period, customers may return ordered goods without stating any reason.

Eligible Return Goods

All women’s clothing and fashion accessories purchased from Velariae are eligible for statutory returns. To be approved for refund or exchange, items must be unworn, unwashed, free of stains and damage, and returned with all original tags, labels, and original packaging completely intact. Items that show signs of use, alteration, damage, or missing original accessories will not qualify for refund.

Non-Returnable Items (Statutory Exceptions)

In compliance with German commercial law, the following product categories are excluded from the right of withdrawal: custom-made or personalized goods, intimate apparel for hygiene reasons, final clearance sale items, and goods damaged due to improper customer use, improper cleaning, or unauthorized modification.

Official Return Procedure

Customers must submit a clear withdrawal request via official email hello@velariae.shop within the 14-day withdrawal window, including the full order number and return intention. Our support team will issue official return authorization and return instructions within 2 working days. Customers must securely repack all items and ship the goods back following provided guidelines. Returns sent without prior official authorization will not be processed or accepted.

Return Shipping Costs & Liability

Pursuant to German consumer regulations, customers bear the standard return shipping costs if the goods conform to the original order description. If the return is caused by store-side errors, including incorrect item delivery, size/color mismatch, factory defects, or missing components, Velariae will cover all return shipping expenses and provide prepaid shipping labels upon verification.

Refund Processing Rules

After receiving and inspecting the returned goods and confirming full compliance with return standards, we will execute the refund within 14 calendar days via the original payment method. Bank or payment provider processing delays are beyond our responsibility. Partial refunds will be applied for incomplete, damaged, or used returned items.

Defective & Incorrect Item Handling

For defective, damaged, or incorrectly delivered products, customers must notify our support team within 48 hours after delivery with valid photographic or video evidence. We will provide legal-compliant solutions including free return, full refund, free replacement, or partial compensation in accordance with German commercial warranty obligations.
